Kick-off of the "Market Moments"
Pumpkin carving at the weekly market
In sunny autumn weather, the town of Beckum and the Sprenker family from Roland invited people to carve pumpkins, thus heralding the start of the new "Market Moments" campaign, which now offers regular special activities at the weekly market.
The activity stand was a magical attraction for children and their parents. They quickly set about carving pumpkin faces together. The Sprenker family not only had a large selection of pumpkins on hand, but also the right tools and templates and were on hand with help and advice. Around 40 pumpkins were created, each one scarier than the last.
More ideas needed
The weekly market is an important part of the shopping experience in Beckum city centre. The "market moments" are intended to further strengthen the weekly market and also revitalise the city centre. Anyone with ideas for further "market moments" should contact Helga Grothues from the city centre management or market manager Dennis Braam.
