Music in the Old Rectory
Reunion with Aleksandra Mikulska: "In the intoxication of dance"
Aleksandra Mikulska performs in Vellern every year at the request of the audience. She was first engaged for Vellern many years ago by Herbert Pälmke, the late founder of the chamber concert series. This year, she will therefore dedicate her programme "Im Rausch des Tanzes" to Herbert Pälmke. A tribute to the man who supported the up-and-coming artist at a time when she was not yet performing on all the major European stages.
The multi-award-winning Polish pianist, university professor in Dresden and president of the Chopin Society in Germany is recognised as an outstanding Chopin interpreter. Her playing is characterised by experts as honest and personal. Her concerts are characterised by high sensitivity, musical expressiveness and flawless playing technique.
The composer Frédéric Chopin takes centre stage with his mazurkas, waltzes and preludes. The evening will end with an interpretation of Franz Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody No. 11.
Tickets for this evening are available for 25 euros from the Beckum town council offices in Beckum and Neubeckum, online at beckum.reservix.de or at the box office.
