Work on the cement road completed

The public combined sewerage system and the asphalt surface were renewed over a length of around 410 metres on Zementstraße between Oelder Straße and Wilhelmsstraße.

The work, which began in July, has already been completed ahead of schedule so that the road can now be reopened to through traffic.

Cement road

Thanks to the 10-day closure, which was also open to residents, the project was able to be significantly accelerated. "It's great that the neighbours cooperated so well and that we were able to make faster progress," said Mayor Michael Gerdhenrich when the road was opened.

The estimated costs for the renewal of the public combined sewerage system amount to around 700,000 euros, while the renewal of the asphalt surface is around 515,000 euros.
