City council, mayor, district council and district administrator are up for election
The local elections in Beckum are used to elect the council and mayor as well as the district council and district administrator. The next election will take place on 14 September 2025.
The invitation to submit nominations for the election of the mayor and the council of the City of Beckum on 14 September 2025 was published in Official Gazette No. 06/2025 .
The announcement of the current electoral district division was published in Official Gazette No. 34/2024 .

Who can vote?
Eligibility to vote:
Persons who are eligible to vote in the elections on 14 September 2025
- German within the meaning of Article 116 (1) of the Basic Law or citizens of the European Union,
- has reached the age of 16 (born on 14 September 2009 at the latest),
- have lived in Beckum without interruption since at least 29 August 2025 - or their main residence if they have more than one home,
- are not excluded from the right to vote and
- is entered in the electoral roll.
The electoral roll will be drawn up as at 10 August 2025.

Information for persons registering, deregistering or reregistering after 10 August
Entry in the electoral roll:
- All eligible voters who are registered with their sole or main residence in Beckum on the cut-off date, 10 August 2025, will be entered in the voters' register. Eligible voters who are entered in the electoral roll by this date will receive a polling card by 24 August 2025 at the latest.
- Persons entitled to vote who move to Beckum from outside or within the city of Beckum in the period from 11 August 2025 to 29 August 2025 will be entered ex officio in the electoral roll of the voting district relevant to their new home and will receive a polling card unsolicited.
- If you move away from the town of Beckum and the district of Warendorf before election day, you will lose your right to vote and will be deleted from the electoral roll. At the same time, you will receive the right to vote at the place where you moved to, provided this is in NRW.
- If you move from Beckum to another town in the district of Warendorf after 29 August 2025, you will be removed from the electoral roll in Beckum and will only be registered for the district elections at your new place of residence. The same applies if you move from the district area to Beckum after 29 August 2025.
Postal votes already cast will be invalidated!
