Integrated Action and Measures Concept INNENSTADT BECKUM
As a basis for the urban development of Beckum's inner city, the framework plan for Beckum's inner city of 1988 was revised in 2000 by the municipal integrated action and measures concept. Since then, this concept has served as the basis for the development of Beckum's inner city. More than ten years after the completion of the integrated action plan, however, the general conditions have changed, making it necessary to update the municipal integrated action plan for the inner city of Beckum.
66 Measures for the city centre
In the course of updating the integrated action and measures concept, new fields of action, projects and measures were identified and an interdisciplinary examination of the topic of the inner city also took place in the form of various workshops and discussions. Based on these results, a total of 66 measures were defined and presented in individual project sheets. The council of the city of Beckum adopted this concept on 5 July 2012.
Supplement 2017
Since then, a large number of the measures envisaged in the concept have been carried out or started. In the course of the design planning for the redesign of the Market Square and St. Stephen's Church Square, it became clear that it makes sense to include the adjacent Propsteigasse in the overall measure. Likewise, it became necessary to adjust the now more concrete goals for St. Stephen's church square and the adjacent Kirchplatz street.
For this reason, the City Council of Beckum decided on 21 February 2017 on a supplement to the integrated action and measures concept for the city centre of Beckum.
