Renewable Energies Master Plan

In addition to CO2 savings, the integrated climate protection concept of the city of Beckum also provides for the promotion and strengthening of renewable energies. The lead project "Potentials for Renewable Energies" mentioned in the concept includes the creation of a concept for renewable energies. To this end, the City of Beckum commissioned the offices of Kortemeier & Brokmann in Herford and Gertec GmbH in Essen to draw up the "Renewable Energies" master plan. After extensive research and intensive consultations in the responsible committee for urban development, demography, environmental and climate protection, the council of the city of Beckum adopted the master plan on 5 November 2013.

The "Renewable Energies" Master Plan looks at the outer area of the city and makes statements on wind energy, open-space photovoltaics and biogas use.
