Transport Development Plan 2030
The city of Beckum last drew up a transport development plan (VEP) in 1993. Against the background of general social developments, whose influence is already having a noticeable impact on mobility behaviour, and innovations, continuous further development and, in some cases, a reorientation of transport planning is necessary. Only in this way can new findings in the general handling of mobility, such as the increasing importance of local mobility, new forms of mobility such as sharing concepts and new trends such as electric mobility be taken into account. The function and design of traffic areas can be better coordinated and overall mobility can be better "managed". The VEP Beckum 2030 includes strategies and measures for the sustainable design of mobility in the future on a city-wide level.
The council of the city of Beckum adopted the traffic development plan in its meeting on 10 April 2019.
