Civil engineering department

The Civil Engineering department (FD 66) is part of the "Environment and Construction" department and is responsible for the construction, operation and maintenance of the infrastructure in Beckum and the districts of Neubeckum, Vellern and Roland.

Our qualified and committed employees offer a wide range of services for the people who live and work here, the local companies and the visitors to our city.

Our team focusses on the following tasks in civil engineering:

- New road construction, maintenance and maintenance management

- New bridge construction / bridge renovation including maintenance management

- New construction / maintenance of squares

- Questions on development including development contributions

- Maintenance, renewal and operation of street lighting

- Maintenance, operation and management of signalling systems (traffic lights)

- New construction and maintenance of cycling facilities

- Construction and maintenance of footpaths and hiking trails

- Construction of bus stop shelters and their barrier-free conversion

- Traffic signs and road markings

- Roadside greenery

- Sports facilities

- Subsidy management

The municipal wastewater pipes and sewage treatment plants are managed by the municipal wastewater company (EB 83).
